I decided to make my passion my business and put my heart and soul into opening Fishriver Horse Safaris in June 2005.

Lloyd Gillespie is a qualified ranger and has been involved in eco-tourism for many years. He has trained as a ranger in Kruger National Park, thereafter working as a game lodge manager, ranger and ranger trainer, locally as well as in Botswana. He gained valuable experience whilst working there with a horse safari business and riding amongst big five game.

My aim is to make Fish River Horse Safaris one of the top horse safari destinations in the country.
